Workers need jobs and jobs are created by companies investing, not by unions bargaining. Prosperity in America depends on being competitive. Google and Apple do this well and show that jobs can be created in America, not just China. We need effective unions to support employees but we need successful companies a lot more.

Without Unions we all would be making minimum wage, wouldn't have holidays, vacation, health care, etc without them. Are they perfect? Absolutely not!

The minimum wage was never intended to be a livable wage. Minimum wage is paid for work that is minimum skill. It should be a supplement or a first, short term step. In difficult economic times, raising the minimum wage could delay recovery. Doubling it is asking

According to a study if every Wal-Mart worker were paid a living wage of $12/hr, up from avg of about $8.8/hr prices would increase about 1%

If fast food workers get paid $15 that would cause a huge uproar with the people working more demanding jobs that get paid less . all wages would have to be increased. Wouldn't prices of everything also rise even higher?
